first dialogue with female workers

appellando is pleased to report on its recent collaboration with the NGO Observatory on a project aimed at improving the working conditions of Moroccan women agricultural workers.

Every year, thousands of women commute between Morocco and Spain to work in agriculture. During a stakeholder dialogue with Moroccan workers at the local Moroccan NGO Radev, Sustify, our online training provider, gained valuable insights into their lives and challenges. The focus of the project was to understand how Moroccan harvest workers, especially the thousands in the Larache region, use their cell phones. With this mobile online program, we want to educate these workers about their human rights and make sure they know how to seek help if they are not respected by their employers. The enthusiasm of the women to learn about their rights was truly inspiring. One worker expressed her gratitude by saying: “Now I am no longer afraid to work in Spain. I know that they will help me if I have a serious problem. I am infinitely grateful.”

With the launch of the pilot training of 200 employees, we want to learn how to best reach the vast majority of employees in the companies that supply the appellando supporting retailers.
